Period of validity for Angkor Passes


Practical: With a 3 or 7-day pass, the viewing days do not have to immediately follow on from each other.
1 Day: This ticket is valid only on the day of purchase.
3 Days: This ticket is valid for 10 days from the date of purchase. You can choose which three days you wish to visit the Angkor temples on.
7 Days: This ticket is valid for one calendar month from the date of purchase. You have a whole month in which to visit the Angkor temples on the seven days of your choice.
Opening Hours for the Angkor Park and Angkor Ticket Office
Angkor Ticket Center (Angkor Enterprise): Daily from 5.00am until 5.30pm
Angkor Wat and Srah Srang: Daily from 5.00am until 5.30pm.
Phnom Bakheng and Pre Rup: Daily from 5.00am until 7pm.
All other Temples: Daily from 7.30am until 5.30pm. (Except for Phnom Kulen and Beng Mealea. you will need to buy an extra ticket to visit these.)

 Important: Make sure that your shoulders and knees are covered when purchasing the ticket. Otherwise, you may not get one.
The one-day ticket counters are located on the right-hand side of the Angkor Ticket Center. This is also where you will find the largest number of people.
The counters for the 3-day tickets are in the middle and those for the 7-day tickets are on the left.
A photo of you will be taken at the counter. Recently, Staff have taken to asking people to smile for their photos :-)
The Angkor pass is not transferable to a nother person.
Very important: Be careful not to lose your Angkor Pass whilst you are on the Angkor site. The penalties are severe. If you lose a 1-day ticket, the penalty is $ 100. The loss of a 3-day ticket will cost you $ 200, and a 7-day ticket will cost you $ 300.

The weather in Cambodia is dominated by the monsoon rains coming from the Gulf of Thailand and the Indian Ocean. He falls in the months of May to October, the country appeared in bright green.   • It is customary to remove your shoes when entering a place of worship such as a pagoda or temple. Additionally, visitors should dress appropriately when inside a religious site (upper arms and legs should be covered, hats removed).
  • It is respectful to remove your shoes when entering someone's home.
  • Though not always expected, a respectful way of greeting another individual is to bow the head slightly with hands pressed together at the chest (known as "Sampeah").
  • If invited to dine in a Cambodian family's home, it is polite to bring a small gift for the host such as fruit, dessert, or flowers.
  • If invited to attend a Cambodian wedding, it is customary to bring cash as a wedding gift.
  • When using a toothpick at the table, use one hand to cover your mouth.
  • Keep business cards ready, and present them with both hands. Accept business cards with both hands.

DON'Ts In Cambodia

  • Don't use your feet to point at someone.
  • Don't touch a Cambodian person on the head.
  • Don't begin eating if you are a guest at a dinner and the host has yet to take a bite.
  • Women should never touch male monks or hand something directly to them.
  • Keep public displays of affection to a respectful minimum.

  • Do not litter; keep our community clean and safe.
  • Plastic bags can be hazardous; dispose them properly. 

What To Wear In Cambodia


The weather in Cambodia generally falls under two categories: the wet season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April).

Lightweight, loose-fitting, cotton clothing is recommended for the dry season, when the weather is hot and humid. Visitors may wish to pack long pants and long-sleeved shirts for hiking, trekking, or outdoor activities. A hat and sunglasses may be useful for when walking around under the sun.
During the rainy season, visitors may want to bring a light rain poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased cheaply in Cambodia) or a sturdy umbrella. A light jacket or cardigan will come in handy during the months of December and January, when temperatures are at their coolest.
When visiting outdoor temples, including those of Angkor Wat, shorts and T-shirts are acceptable. Shoes and hats are generally removed at the entrance to pagodas. For visits to the Silver Pagoda, which is within the Royal Palace grounds. visitors are asked to dress more formally. Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers and ladies should wear long trousers or long skirts and keep their shoulders covered.

Visa on arrival in Cambodia

The business visa

For stays longer than 30 days plus one-extension of a further 30 days the business visa for up to one year may be granted upon entry. From a visa for 6 months multiple entry and exit is possible. These specify on entry, that a business visa is required. As with a tourist visa has a business visa initially a maximum period of 30 days, which is then extended by one, three, six months or one year following at the immigration office in Cambodia.   • At the Vietnamese border at Bavet (Svay Rieng)
The business visa for 30 days costs $  35.00  To obtain a business visa, it does not necessarily have business activities in Cambodia. The prices for the extension vary depending on the duration. For a stay of one year, there are approximately $ 280,00.

It is valid for up to 3 entries to Thailand and one entry into Cambodia, the residence time for Thailand is up to 60 days per entry and for Cambodia 30 days. For Thailand, the fee is 30 Euros for each entry and is payable when applying for a visa at the Thai Embassy. The Visa fee for Cambodia is to be paid at the border crossing.
The processing period is different because two different authorities have to agree. Once the Thai Foreign Ministry and even the Royal Embassy of Cambodia.
